New preprint

22 November 2021

A new and first Human+ preprint! Based on Ann’s BSc-thesis we explore domain-specific and domain-general neural network engagement during human-robot interactions. Read the preprint, explore the data or code. Super proud of this work!


Embodied AI initiative

15 November 2021

Together with Maartje de Graaf and Zerrin Yumak, Ruud started the Embodied AI initiative in 2020. The main objective of this project is to unite researchers of Utrecht University and elsewhere in the field of Embodied AI. We aim to increase visibility, build community and foster interdisciplinary collaborations as well as encourage diversity and inclusion of perspectives and backgrounds. Thanks to funding from the Human-Centered AI focus area, Geertje will join us as a student assistant. We have organised three panels and have now started a monthly seminar series. Postdoc position available

Join Human+! A 2-years + 1 year optional postdoctoral position on Psychology and Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence is available. The postdoc will work with Ruud, Dr. Baptist Liefooghe and Prof. Henk Aarts on a collaborative research project to understand understanding social cognition during interactions with AI.
