Sneak peek of ongoing science in the lab. Dorka just finished collecting data for a project on mentalizing across agents and species. For this we brought a real dog into the lab! So much fun!

Absolutely trilled that I have been awarded an@ERC_Research Starting Grant! This is so massive I can barely comprehend. This one is for all my mentors, colleagues, friends, partner, family, and for little me who (almost) failed high school. 🥳🥳🥳F-AI-MILY is real and happening! https://t.co/J8gu4UeOms

Over the past month, Ruud and Dorka have been working on the new fNIRS setup that was acquired by the Department of Psychology at Utrecht. Super excited for things to come! In the next few months we will be working to use fNIRS to sudy the neurocognition of HRI in situ!
And…we have an active fNIRS system. Very excited to start some new social cognition projects including fNIRS! 🧠 #fnirs #socialneuroscience pic.twitter.com/Kl1VwraMUJ

What is the impact of video calls on mimicry? Or what is the effect of different interaction settings on the mimicry of phylogenetically old behaviours and the perceived trustworthiness of a partner? Read Fabi’s new study in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B!
Some expressions are mimicked to the same extent in video calls and face-to-face interaction!
