Reciprocity and CRI

22 November 2022

Super excited to share a new preprint called ‘Children’s Reciprocity and Relationship Formation with a Robot Across Age’ ! This work lead by Luca as part of her MSc-thesis and a first step into Child-Robot Interaction. Luca created a physical board game to measure reciprocity during actual child-robot interaction!!! As always you can read the preprint, explore the data or read the preregistration.

Publication festival

05 October 2022

In the last few weeks three papers were published! Two in International Journal of Social Robotics and one in European Journal of Neuroscience. Super excited to see these open-access publications, with all code available, appear in these great journals. Also, amazing work of all students involved.

Also, Ruud joined International Journal of Social Robotics as an associate editor (of course, the two articles appearing in this journal underwent peer review before this)

Paper 1 on attitudes with Fabi: IJSR
Paper 2 on chemosignaling and HRI: IJSR
Paper 3 on neural network involvement during HRI with Ann: EJN

Is daar niet al bewijs voor? Of niet specifiek met neurocognition? Dan moet dat duidelijker genoemd worden, want volgens mij is er al wel (iig familie-) onderzoek dat laat zien dat je beter bij de families thuis data kunt verzamelen

Mere label effect

10 June 2022

Very excited to share a new preprint as part on a new research line and collaboration with Baptist Liefooghe and Henk Aarts on trust and artificial intelligence. What is the psychological impact of content created by artificial intelligence? Or as Manuel says: “Would you trust a real face less if you were told it was artificial?” Read the preprint, explore the data or read the preregistration.

Operatie Breinbreker

03 May 2022

We participated in Operatie Breinbreker, a science show in TivoliVredenburg organised by Utrecht University! A great venue as scientists are the new rockstars. We took part with a fun game for children and cozmo robots alike
